The 'Taste of White Lake' Event: David will be at this event where chefs, cooks and gourmets galore, will be cooking up their house specialties, and attendees get to sample these numerous varieties of scrumptious foods. It's an indoor/outdoor event a street fair. Everything from hamburgers to steak to seafood will be on-hand. Makers of ethnicities like Italian, Mexican, and others will be showing off their culinary skills. And topping it off, there will even be mouth-watering deserts, all prepared by local restaurateurs. There will also be Michigan-made beers and wines available. But that's not all. While snacking on this keen cuisine, you'll have the opportunity to see wonderful works by artists and excellent music will be on hand, too. Ticket sales go to maintain the historical Howmet Theatre. 'LAV' 9700 FM Classic Rock & 'The Outlaw' Classic Country Present: "Bike Night at the Drive-In" David will be a guest of Dee-Jay Kevin Matthews as they broadcast live at this event from one of the last, still operational, drive-in movie theaters in the country. David met his wife there on June 24, 1974, when she was working as a teen cashier at the concession stand. The movie being shown is "Easy Rider" with Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper. It is arguably the best 'bike' movie ever made. This film is also the first 'big movie' break for a young Jack Nicholson. There will be a beverage tent, food, live music, games, prizes and a bonfire. Bikers, and movie fans, alike, can ride out and join in the fun, while viewing the film that set the stage for biking and the open road. |
